Still on the Beach
So much sun, on my skin
Warmed it up, and buried in
Made me so tan, down to the bone
That I'm still on the beach, when I'm back at home
So much sand, between my toes
So much salt air, way up in my nose
And the breakers crash echoes in my ear
Yeah I'm still on the beach, when it's nowhere near.
The sandals and the lotion on the shelf
in my garage
Make me see the ocean though I know it's a mirage
So much time, in between
Back to work and more sunscreen
But if I close my eyes and I count to ten
I'm still on the beach, till I'm there again.
Yeah I'm still on the beach, till I'm there again.
